Gender Justice LA

Gender Justice LA has a working Resource Guide with regularly updated resources for TGI people in response to COVID-19. Resources include health & wellness, food, grants, mutual aid, educational resources, safety, housing, and more. Their guide has a focus on the Los Angeles area but also includes links to organizations doing work throughout the state and country.

Trans Empowerment Project

Trans Empowerment Project has a national trans resources list with an overview of trans programs, drop-in shelters, emergency/crisis assistance, legal assistance, trans clinics, trans friendly hospitals, specialty care, surgeons, trans funding, and additional forms of support for queer, trans, nonbinary, and two-spirit, and gender-nonconforming people across the country.

Trans Lifeline

Trans Lifeline has a list of resources guides, including abolitionist, disability justice, public assistance, care provider database, virtual wellness directories, and more. They also have a list of community-based crisis support resources.

The Okra Project

The Okra Project has a list of organizations and resources who offer programs and services to trans, gender non-conforming, and non-binary people.

Collective Action for Safe Spaces

Collective Action for Safe Spaces released their COVID Community Care Resources (2023) Guide, an updated COVID resource guide with tangible strategies to help decrease the spread and to enact care for those dealing with current and long COVID.

Beloved Community

Beloved Community has a resource list to help Black folks prioritize their mental health, self-care, and overall well-being while navigating tragedy, grief, and rage across the country.

Black Women’s Mental Health Resource Guide

Heliana Ramirez, PhD, LISW created a Black women’s mental health resource guide, which includes crisis and warm hotlines, safety plans, workplace abuse support resources, resources to find new jobs and/or build your own business, and more.

SPARK Reproductive Justice NOW

The Essentials: Atlanta Trans Resource Guide was compiled by members of the SPARK Reproductive Justice NOW staff and fellows from the 2022 Leading Initiatives for Trans Equity (LITE) program. This is an ATL specific guide for Trans folks including community support, medical, housing, legal aid, and mental health resources.

Queer-Oriented Rural Resource Network (QORRN) has a national/international resource list to connect LGBTQ+ individuals in rural communities with resources and services.

Muslim Alliance for Sexual & Gender Diversity

The Muslim Alliance for Sexual & Gender Diversity (MASGD) compiled a basic resource guide for LGBTQ+ Muslims. Each category provides a link to the organization’s website, a description of what services they provide, and includes annotations that specify if they are geared towards Muslim people of specific descent/identities (e.g. Black, South Asian, South West Asian, or North African) or if they have resources to accommodate our diverse and complex identities and experiences.

Trans Visionaries Collective compiled a resource list of upcoming name-change clinics, legal resources to support name changes, name change guides, and other resources to support trans and nonbinary folks choosing new names.

SQSHBook Resource Database

The SQSHBook is a queer-centered, community-owned database of 1,200+ resources throughout the St. Louis region and beyond, compiled from various local resource lists and vetting efforts by the St. Louis LGBTQIA+ community and SQSH’s partners.

LGBTQIA+ EOL Guide

WAKE’s goal for the LGBTQIA+ EOL Guide is to close the gap of information on end of life care for the LGBTQIA+ community, since much of the existing information is directed toward heterosexual couples and nuclear families. In addition, the guide identifies key areas of risk within the legal system for diverse sexual orientations and/or gender identities. With the right information and legal steps in place, one’s identity and wishes can be honored through the end of life and dying processes.

Rainbow Migration

Rainbow Migration helps LGBTQI+ people though asylum and immigration system and has a robust list of other organizations who can help LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum.

Black Trans Foundation

Black Trans Foundation compiles a bulk of resources to better support trans women and trans femmes, including numerous ways allies can support trans people in the UK. Additionally, the The UK LGBTQIA+ Mental Health Resources Guide includes services primarily for LGBTIQA+ people and their families in the UK, offering helpful resources and guidance, as well as 1-to-1 counselling and support groups.

Gender Construction Kit

The Gender Construction Kit is a guide for gender changes, including a medical guide and resources to support name changes, vocal changes, gender-affirming clothing changes, and more for folks based in the UK.

African Queer Youth Initiative

African Queer Youth Initiative has publications and guides for LGBTQI+ activists in Africa, including templates for resumes and cover letters and a step by step guide to creating sustainable youth-led organizations working on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.
