  • The Movement for Black Lives Media Fellowship is a five-month fellowship, beginning in April and ending in September 2024, intended to produce movement workers who desire to use journalism and other forms of storytelling to propel the fight for liberation. All fellows receive a stipend of $5,000 that comes in two payments, one at the commencement of the fellowship and the final payment at the program's close. The fellowship curriculum will be administered weekly via virtual sessions. No travel is required besides the fellow’s participation in the closing gathering in September 2024.   • The Black Trans Wellness Fund supports 10 Black trans people in Philadelphia with $250 by cash or check. Sex workers, trans women and trans femmes, dark skinned people, disabled people, immunocompromised people, and those formerly incarcerated are prioritized for funding.   • The TRANSFORM Business Grant, designed to support entrepreneurs in systemically marginalized groups, provides a $1,000 microgrant and a customized, year-long business strategy and development program to each grantee. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Philadelphia Fellowship for Black Artists elevates the important work of emerging Black artists residing within the City of Philadelphia. This year, the Fellowship will support 15 artists of any medium with $2,000 in unrestricted funding to support their art practice. The deadline to apply is March 17, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Revolutionary Storyteller Grant is for photographers with strong connections to communities who are protecting the planet in revolutionary ways. There will be (5) $5,000 grants awarded. The deadline to apply is March 7, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • Stories for Freedom will select ten storytellers, who have been cultivating practices of liberation within their work and lives, to join a TMI Project True Storytelling workshop. The cohort will include people of all backgrounds while also paying specific homage to the practices of liberation that have emerged from Black and Indigenous communities. All storytellers will be paid a $500 stipend for their participation at the completion of the program. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The SEEDS Fellowship is a collective and spacious 6 month experience for 10 Black artists, athletes, organizers, & scholars aged 28+ to reflect on and summarize a Black & gender expansive politic and the power of community. SEEDS fellows will receive a $1100 stipend and can be located in the US, UK, Puerto Rico, Canada, or HI. The deadline to apply is March 22, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Hazel M. Johnson Fellowship Program is designed to attract and support Black women and gender-expansive rising juniors, rising seniors, and recent college graduates with demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the environmental and/or climate sectors. HMJ Fellowship positions are full-time paid positions with a minimum hourly wage of $18 an hour. All Fellows will also receive a stipend of $5,000 (on top of the hourly wage) to go towards living expenses, professional development, and wellness, in addition to weekly coordinated professional development through Partner Organizations and Black Girl Environmentalist.   • The Augusta Savage Grant is an unrestricted prize of $2,500 to be awarded to a talented emerging sculptor who self-identifies as Black or African American. The deadline to apply is March 4, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Mental Health Fund (MHF) provides financial support to Queer and Trans Black, Indigenous and People of Color for up to 8 sessions with a licensed or pre-licensed psychotherapist. This year, MHF will offer $125 per session. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Twining Humber Award is an unrestricted award of $10,000 given annually to a Washington State female-identified visual artist, age 60 or over, who has dedicated 25 years or more to creating art. The deadline to apply is March 25, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The SOLA (Support Old Lady Artists) Awards are five unrestricted awards of $5,000 given annually to Washington State female-identified visual artists, age 60 or over, who have dedicated 25 years or more to creating art. The deadline to apply is March 25, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The 2024 Chicago Artadia Awards will award $15,000 in unrestricted funding to artists in Chicago. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2024. Learn more about eligibility requirements and apply here.

  • Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for recent unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies to U.S.-based artists in financial need* who are creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, and choreography. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2024.   • Data Empowerment Fund supports initiatives enabling greater individual agency or community control over data with grants of $50K or $100K. The deadline to apply is March 5, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Arts Innovator Award recognizes artists who demonstrate innovation in their art practice. These unrestricted awards of $25,000 are given annually to two Washington State artists of any discipline who are originating new work, experimenting with new ideas, taking risks, and pushing the boundaries of their fields.   • Black Trans Joy Zine submissions are open for Black trans and nonbinary youth artists under the age of 25. Included artists will be paid $250. Submissions are due on Friday, March 1, 2024. If your submission is selected, you will be contacted by March 11, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The 2024 Irene Yamamoto Arts Writers Fellowship grants two $5,000 unrestricted awards to two emerging writers of color who write critically about theater, dance, and/or performance art. The deadline to apply is March 17, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • National Sculpture Society is presenting The Augusta Savage Grant, an unrestricted prize of $2,500, to be awarded to a talented emerging sculptor who self-identifies as Black or African American in the U.S. The deadline to apply is March 4, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • David C. Driskell Fellowship offers 3 months rent free studio space and a $700 stipend to support the development of Maine-based Black and Brown artists.⁠ Selected fellows will receive personalized mentorship and feedback from our team and will participate in studio visits with a diverse group of artists, curators, cultural workers, and scholars.⁠ The deadline to apply is March 10, 2024.   • The Trans Health Advocacy Program, a part of Kentucky Health Justice Network, is accepting applications to support Trans Kentuckians seeking gender affirming surgeries. The only requirement for eligibility funding is that you have completed a consultation with a surgeon and are a KY resident.   • Health Stellium’s Black History Month LGBTQ+ N95 Mask Distribution Project is shipping N95 masks to Black LGBTQ+ people based in the U.S. The form closes February 29, 2024. Learn more and submit a request here.

  • Black Trans Wellness Fund is open for Black trans people in Philadelphia. 10 grantees will be selected each month to receive $250.00 by check or Cash app. The deadline to apply this month is February 25, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Trans Love Fund is dedicated to supporting the trans community of South Carolina by providing emergency funds to trans identified individuals through SC. The deadline to apply is February 16, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Information Controls Fellowship Program (ICFP) cultivates research, outputs, and creative collaboration on topics related to repressive Internet censorship and surveillance. Fellows work full-time remotely or with a supportive host organization of their choosing for three, six, nine, or 12 months. The deadline to apply is February 19, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Books for Black Bookish Wonders Initiative is accepting applications for Black folks in the U.S. to request free books during Black History Month. Black folks interested in requesting a book can submit a request here.

  • Applications for the Black Women Photographers x Nikon Grants are now open. Apply for an opportunity to take home part of $50,000 in project-based and business grants and the latest Nikon mirrorless Z series gear. The deadline to apply is February 17, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Okra Project is accepting applications for their Winter Utility Fund, providing $150 towards winter utilities support for Black trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming individuals.   • The Community Navigator Program (CNP) is designed to be a 1-year fellowship opportunity for early-career professionals to gain career exposure and professional development and to conduct critical outreach to communities the CNP intends to serve.   • The Doc Society Climate Story Fund is seeking to support compelling storytelling and impact strategies from around that world that can help audiences envision the just transition, and activate them to make these visions a reality. The fund provides up to $150,000 grants to support the completion of production of creative nonfiction projects, and for impact pilots for completed creative nonfiction and fiction projects.   • The Theo Moorman Trust’s biennial grants for Weavers in the UK aim to encourage and support weavers in the United Kingdom to enjoy artistic freedom so that they may contribute to the development of handweaving and the education of future weavers. Grants between £500 - £5000 will be awarded. The deadline to apply is 01 February 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • AmplifyChange’s Strengthening Grants support advocacy work for small to medium civil society organisations that seek to bring about change in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Up to 40% of a Strengthening Grant can be used to support the costs of organisational development and boosting organisational effectiveness. The deadline to apply is February 15, 2024.   • The Artadia Awards provide financial support, exposure and recognition to artists. The awards are unrestricted funds of $15,000*, allowing artists to use the funds in any way they choose, and access to the Artadia Network. *Marciano Artadia Awardee receives unrestricted funds of $25,000.   • South Arts offers Individual Artist Career Opportunity Grants to residents of the South Arts region: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee. Grants of up to $2,000 are available to support eligible proposed and completed (retroactive) opportunities taking place between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024.   • TransTech Summit is accepting speaker proposals for the following content areas: 1) diversity, representation, & inclusion, business/career, 2) media, marketing, & advertising, 3) web/app/design/coding, 4) racial justice/social justice/human rights, 5) health, wellness, & technology, and 6) beyond the code. Accepted speakers will receive tiered honorariums, a feature on TransTech Summit website, a complimentary Trans Tech Summit 2024 swag box, and a complimentary VIP all-access pass.   • Point of Pride’s Electrolysis Support Fund provides financial assistance towards permanent hair removal services (including electrolysis and laser hair removal) for trans folks who cannot otherwise afford them. The deadline to apply is February 29, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • Trans Justice Funding Project 2024 grant applications are now available for grassroots, trans justice groups run by and for trans people, with an operating budget under $250,000. The deadline to apply is February 15, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Queer Development Research Lab has a national Queer Joy survey for LGBTQIA+ people (ages 16+) to share their experiences with joy. 1 in every 5 participants will receive a $40 gift card. Survey responses will be accepted until February. Learn more and take the survey here.

  • The Open Society Foundations seek applicants for its Soros Equality Fellowship, which aims to support long-term leaders influencing and transforming the racial justice field. The Fellowship award provides individuals with roughly $130,000 to support the production of an innovative racial justice project over the course of 18 months.   • Living Artists Collective is awarding three $1,000 grants to qualifying Seattle-area, low-income visual artists making $58,000 a year or less. The deadline to apply is January 19, 2024 at 5pm. Learn more and apply here.

  • TransOhio is a launching an emergency fund to provide financial assistance to trans community members and their families who urgently need to relocate to or access care a safer and more affirming environment. Submit a TransOhio Trans-formation Emergency Fund request here.

  • The National Black Trans Advocacy Conference is accepting scholarship applications to help trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming people access the conference’s educational and empowerment experience.  The deadline to apply is January 15, 2024.   • L.A. County Doula of Color Training Scholarship applications are available to residents of Los Angeles County. Birthworkers of Color Collective’s Doula of Color Virtual Training is a 6 month training with 4 full day live virtual mandatory training days (via zoom) the first 4 Saturdays in March 2024, additional self paced learning (via google classroom), and optional live virtual meetings last Saturdays of the month from April 2024-July 2024.   • The Leah Ryan Fund is open to all women, trans, and non-binary playwrights who consider themselves emerging (as distinct from fledgling or mid-career playwrights). Playwrights from all over the world are encouraged to apply, but the play must be written in English. The winner will receive a cash prize of $5,000 and a public reading and summer workshop as part of the Powerhouse Theater Program at Vassar College. The deadline to apply is January 9, 2024.   • The Lower East Side (LES) Young Artists of Color Fellowship is open to NYC-based artists of color between the ages of 18 and 26. Each fellow will receive a $500 stipend. The deadline to apply is January 9, 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The “Miss Sarah” Fellowship for Black Women Writers aims to provide Black women writers a restful environment conducive to reflection and writing. The 2024 fellowship focus is fiction and the selected writer will receive a ten-day residency in July 2024. Participants will receive a $1000 stipend and transportation to and from Asheville, NC.   • The Money for Women/Barbara Deming Memorial Fund provides small grants ($500 -$2,000) to individual feminist women in the arts who are citizens with primary residence in the U.S and Canada and whose work in some way focuses upon women. Their 2024 grants are limited to visual arts and fiction.   • The Williams Institute’s Global LGBTQI+ Small Grants Program is designed to encourage new empirical research focused on LGBTI populations in the least developed, low- and middle-income countries and amplify the voices of researchers from those regions. Applicants must consist of partnerships between experienced researchers and civil society organizations. Priority will be given to research proposals that expressly aim to inform practice, service delivery, and policy. Funding will be made to projects with a budget up to $4,999 and funds will be disbursed in a lump sum and can provide both salary support and costs associated with acquiring and analyzing new or existing data.   • The International Trans Fund (ITF) recently opened applications for trans-led organizations worldwide with annual budgets below $100,000 USD to apply for their SEED grant, a 1-year general support and/or project support grant of $10,000 to $20,000 USD/year for organizations not previously funded by the ITF, and THRIVE grant, a 1-year general support and/or project support grant of $25,000 to $50,000 USD/year exclusively for trans-led organizations previously funded by ITF in good standing.   • NPR recently relaunched their College Podcast Challenge, inviting college students of all ages pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree, as well recent 2023 graduates, to submit a podcast on any topic they wish to explore. NPR will award the winner a $5,000 scholarship and an opportunity to have their work featured on NPR, with $500 prizes for their 10 finalists. Entries should be submitted by January 5, 2023.   • Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity is a funded fellowship (including covering visa costs) for mid-career changemakers from around the world. This fellowship has a Residential and Non-residential track. Applications for the 2024-25 programme will close at 5pm UK time on 11 January 2024. Learn more and apply here.

  • The GUTC Leaders Fellowship provides ongoing support, peer networking, and leadership and professional development to a cohort of 6 trans, gender non-conforming, or non-binary professionals in philanthropy over a 12-month fellowship period, beginning in the spring of each year.   • The Just Tech Fellowship is a two-year, full-time, remote fellowship supporting a diverse community of researchers and practitioners investigating the intersection of technology and social justice. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Maypole Fund is a small grant-giving organisation that funds feminist activism against militarism and war up to £1000. The Maypole Fund has two funding sessions each year.   • The BIPOC Artist Exchange and Activation Initiative is designed to showcase the contributions of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) artists to the New England art community. This program empowers BIPOC artists in New Hampshire and New England, inspiring local BIPOC artists by introducing them to artists from outside our community. Selected artists will receive travel reimbursement and a grant of up to $300. Learn more and apply here.

  • MaskBloc Long Beach is accepting requests for free masks and test for QTPOC and disabled folks based in the Long Beach area. Learn more and submit a request here.

  • MaskBloc Waterloo has open applications to request free Personal Protective Equipment (respirator masks, rapid tests, etc) from Mask Bloc Waterloo Region (Canada). Learn more and submit a request here.

  • FCA offers immediate, project-based emergency grants to visual and performing artists living and working in the U.S. and abroad who have sudden, unanticipated opportunities to present their work to the public or incur unexpected or unbudgeted expenses for projects close to completing with committed exhibition or performance dates.   • Austin Creative Alliance is accepting applications for their Artists Emergency Fund, offering immediate assistance for individual artists and their families in Greater Austin. Cultural sector workers based in Greater Austin facing verifiable and immediate housing, food or healthcare insecurity (including travel, lodging and procedure expenses related to reproductive care) may apply for up to $1000 in unrestricted funds.   • Intransitive has multiple support funds available for Trans & Two Spirit people living in Arkansas facing emergency situations. The Brayla Stone Microgrant supports Black Transgender women and girls living in Arkansas with rent assistance, utilities, temporary emergency housing, groceries, medical expense & transportation. Additional microgrants include a fund for trans immigrants, fund for trans youth, fund for incarcerated trans siblings, and a general fund for trans, gnc, non-binary, and two spirit Arkansans.

  • The Transdolescent Fund supports Trans and Two Spirit adolescents (Trans youth and Two Spirit youth) living in Arkansas who need access to gender affirming gear. Learn more and submit a request here.

  • The Womanist Working Collective reopened applications for the Winter 2024 cycle of the Black Liberation Therapy Fund, which provides financial assistance for Black gender expansive folks, specifically Black women of trans and cis experience, Black femmes, and/or Black non-binary people to increase access to mental health and wellness support.   • NYC People of Color Healing Circle’s energy healing practitioners are offering free private in-person and virtual sessions to Palestinians, non-Palestinian folks impacted by this ongoing genocidal war, frontline organizers, healthcare workers on the ground in Gaza/West Bank, and BIPOCs who organized/participated in rallies here in the USA calling for a ceasefire.   • Southern Equality Fund is accepting nominations for their Southern Healers: Southern Equality Fund, a special grant round dedicated to so many of the innovative healing efforts led by LGBTQI Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) Southerners. This $10,000 Southern Healers Special Grant Round will distribute grants of up to $500 to organizing efforts led by BIPOC LGBTQI Southerners. Learn more and apply here.

  • BIPOC Therapy Fund is accepting applications for folks currently impacted by the crisis in Palestine and need financial assistance to access therapy services. They are prioritizing Palestinians and folks with family and loved ones in Palestine. Activists, care workers, folks with roots in the SWANA region (South West Asia North Africa), and BIPOC Muslim, Jewish, Christian allies personally impacted can reach out to care@mentalhealthliberation.org to receive support. Please note: If you are not currently impacted by the crisis in Palestine, sign up for their newsletter to be notified when the next BIPOC Therapy Fund application cycle opens up.

  • Trans Resistance Network provides resources for those families and individuals who are relocating to a safer state as a consequence of state laws against gender diverse people, criminalization of gender affirming care, or lack of community safety due to one’s gender identity and expression. Requests for relocation support can be submitted here.

  • The Black Trans Women Inc Sister’s Keeper program provides emergency assistance to trans women in the United States to help cover unexpected emergency needs such as groceries, shelter, safe transportation and phone/utility expenses. Learn more and apply here.

  • Point of Pride provides free femme shapewear (specially-designed compression underwear/gaffs) to any trans femme person who needs one and cannot afford or safely obtain one. Applications are open year-round. Learn more and apply here.

  • Black Trans Wellness Fund is now open for Black trans people in Philadelphia. 10 grantees will be selected each month to receive $250.00 by check or Cash app. This is a rolling application that will be opened at the beginning of the month for a week. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Black Farmer Fund (BFF) Community Garden Fund is now accepting applications. This fund will support Black-led community gardens community gardens in the Northeast U.S. and up to 20 community gardens will be eligible for an award of $500 to go towards their general operating support and capacity building costs. This is a one time pool of funds being facilitated by Black Farmer Fund. The application will close once funds are depleted. Learn more about eligibility requirements and apply here.

  • DAY RATE is a $300 monthly artist grant for Black and Native American femme, queer, trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming filmmakers and creative storytellers. A new grant recipient is drawn on the 1st of each month. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Black Trans Wellness Fund recently reopened to support Black trans people residing in Philadelphia. The fund committee will select 10 grantees each month to receive $250.00 by check or Cash App. This is a rolling application that will be opened at the beginning of the month for a week.   • The FREE STEM Fund offers up to 50,000 EUR in funding for initiatives and projects in the Global South from registered and unregistered initiatives, groups, collectives, and organisations focused on the rights of girls, women, transgender and non-binary people and STEM.   • Soul Fire Farm launched a Travel Fund to help BIPOC farmers and land stewards defray costs of attending solidarity events. Learn more and apply here.

  • Black & Beyond the Binary Collective (B3C) is accepting applications for their Housing Safety Fund. The fund is intended to support significantly marginalized Portland residents currently struggling with housing security and/or safety with limited financial assistance. Eligible participants in the B3C Housing Safety Fund are (but are not limited to): adults aged 18+, currently experiencing houselessness, housing instability, residing in Multnomah County.   • Emergent Fund is a rolling, monthly rapid response and emergent organizing grant for movement and frontline communities responding to urgent and specific unanticipated crises or opportunities to build power. Applications are due every third Thursday each month. Learn more and apply here.

  • Black Trans Men Inc. is offering a grant of up to $1000 to assist with the financial obligation for undergoing elective gender affirming top surgery for Black and African American trans men. Learn more and submit a Gender Affirming Surgery Financial Assistance Application here.

  • Social Impact Labs awards $1,000 to support community projects. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and remain eligible for six months. Apply by the end of a given month to be considered for the following month’s award. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Black Journalists Therapy Relief Fund (BJTRF) provides assistance for Black journalists facing financial hardship who are unable to pay for mental health support. Learn more and apply for funding here.

  • Kentucky Health Justice Network accepts funding requests from Kentucky residents seeking financial assistance for gender affirming care/items via their Trans Health Advocacy program. Learn more and submit a request here.

  • FTM Essentials announced their Free Youth Binder Program for folks 24 and under unable to purchase a binder on their own due to financial circumstances. Binders will be sent out quarterly in January, April, July, and October. 

  • Passion and Purpose shares weekly emails for justice-driven coaches, founders, & entrepreneurs committed to digging deeper than 'diversity' and creating a community space rooted in RADICAL EQUITY and SAFETY for Black, Latine, and queer people.

  • The Anti-Abortion Fake Clinic Database is a collection of discoverable crisis pregnancy centers in the United States, independently researched and updated by Reproaction.

  • Trans Lifeline has a resource list with community-based crisis support resources, which includes hotlines that avoid police, crisis support guides, support groups for survivors of forced treatment, peer support organizations, and more.

  • Mutual Aid Hartford (MAH) is an anchor organization focused on building community power through a network of community-run projects. MAH’s community food initiative offers mutual aid to support family distribution of free local food in the city of Hartford, CT.

  • Survivor’s Sanctuary is a self guided healing platform created to aid survivors in their healing journeys.

  • Gender Justice LA has a working Resource Guide (+COVID Resource Guide) with regularly updated resources for TGI people in response to COVID-19. Resources include health & wellness, food, grants, mutual aid, educational resources, safety, housing, and more.   • Black Transmen Inc. will award Free New & Gently Used binders for transmen of color in low-income communities through the Brother 2 Brother Health Grant program, designed to support a safe and healthy transition, providing binders to those who are in need, and simply cannot afford to purchase a binder on their own.
