Disability Culture Lab is hosting their third annual Disability Culture Cabaret on July 31, 2026!
This FREE event is a celebration of disabled queer artists via drag, burlesque, music, visual art, and performance.
The Cabaret is an in-person, outdoors, COVID-test required event with visual descriptions, ASL interpreters, CART, mobility aid access, and local partners. It will be held in-person at Sycamore + Oak in Washington, D.C. It will also be livestreamed for folks who would like to participant virtually.
Led by a team of queer disabled artists, Disability Culture Cabaret transforms pleasure activism and joy into a radical act of community building, visibility, and liberation. Attendees are invited to experience joy as resistance, and every show is an act of collective care; an accessible, affirming space that embodies the principle that joy is political and pleasure is protest.
