  • The Inevitable Foundation is accepting applications for their Emergency Relief Fund, a responsive cash granting program for disabled writers in crisis. The first round of grants start at $500 and will be awarded to disabled writers who lost income and job opportunities because of the WGA strike. The remaining grants will be rewarded to disabled non-WGA members. Applications are due by June 25. Learn more and view the full list of eligibility here.

  • The Jim Collins Foundation offers two grant options to provide financial assistance to trans people for gender affirming surgeries. The Founders' Grant covers 100% of the surgical costs associated with a gender-affirming surgery. The Krysallis Anne Hembrough Legacy Fund covers 50% of the surgical costs associated with a gender-affirming surgery, the recipient provides the other 50% using their own financial resources. Applicants may only apply once per grant cycle, and in their application, must choose to be considered for either the Founders' Grant or the Krysallis Anne Hembrough Legacy Fund.   • Collective Action for Safe Spaces (CASS) is offering financial support to 15 Black trans women and trans femmes in DC. The 2nd Annual Nona Butterfly Memorial Fund welcomes eligible applicants who are Black trans women and trans femmes who live in DC and are currently facing financial hardship, varying systemic barriers, and other forms of violence. CASS will choose recipients based on eligibility criteria to receive a *one-time deposit* of $600 to their Cash App or Paypal. The process of reviewing and verifying applications will happen from June 15 - June 22nd. Learn more and apply here

  • The Illuminations Grant for Black Trans Women Visual Artists sheds light on the under-recognized contributions of Black trans women visual artists and provides critical support to their continuing work. Qualified artists must be self-identified Black trans women and trans femmes working in visual art and based in the United States. Applications are due by July 12, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • Bertha Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the fifth Bertha Challenge: an opportunity for activists and investigative journalists to spend a year working on one pressing social justice challenge and to deliver a body of work at the end of the Fellowship year. Successful applicants will receive non-residential paid Fellowships and project budgets to work independently and together to look at the causes of and solutions to disinformation.   • Point of Pride’s HRT Access Fund is a scholarship-like program that provides direct financial assistance to trans folks who cannot afford their gender-affirming hormone replacement therapy (also known as "HRT.") The next application cycle will accept applications from June 15 through July 31, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • Kentucky Health Justice Network accepts funding requests from Kentucky residents seeking financial assistance for gender affirming care/items via their Trans Health Advocacy program. Learn more and submit a request here.

  • TransTech Social recently opened applications for their Third Annual Monica Roberts Blogger Award and Essay Contest. Applications are due by July 14, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • Trans Lifeline is accepting applications for Gender-Affirming Hair Removal and Name Change Microgrants. Microgrant applications are open until June 14 at 11:59pm EST. Learn more and apply here.

  • Freelancers Union recently announced an opportunity for freelancers to participate in a focus group on freelance work. This focus group, led by The Workers Lab and The Aspen Institute Future of Work Initiative, will be held virtually on Wednesday June 14 at 4:00pm - 6:00pm ET. All participants will be compensated with a $100 gift card for their time. Learn more and sign up here.

  • We Are Family Foundation announced their Creatives Fund, inviting cultural organizers using the power of art to address systemic injustice, shift narratives, and inspire change locally and globally. Applications are open to BIPOC or BIPOC-ally, creative or collective, and folks under 30 years old. The deadline to apply was recently e tended to June 1 at 11:59pm. Learn more and apply here.

  • Leeway Foundation is accepting applications for their Art and Change Grant, which provides grants of up to $2,500 to fund art for social change projects by women, trans*, and/or gender nonconforming artists and cultural producers living in Greater Philadelphia. The deadline to apply is August 1, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Media Artist + Activist Residency at Leeway Foundation provides grants of $25,000 to women, trans*, and gender nonconforming media artists living in Greater Philadelphia working in close collaboration with social justice/cultural organizations to document, reframe, and/or amplify the issues and campaigns addressed by the organization.   • Black Girl Environmentalist recently launched a grant opportunity, sponsored by ECOS, to honor women and non-binary individuals committed to the practice of community care as a practice of environmental justice. They will be awarding TEN (10) grants of $250 each, totaling $2500, to the deserving recipients. All submissions should be received by June 2. Learn more about this grant and how to apply here.

  • Radical Partners is offering a $5,000 pool of stipends to local organizations to increase understanding, boost organizational capacity, and build collaborations with disability advocacy organizations based in Miami-Dade County. Applications are rolling and will be given out monthly to 1 - 2 nonprofit organizations or social ventures from October 2022 through May 2023, until the pool is fully spent.   • SisterSong launched The Community Power-Building for Birth and Parenting Justice grant opportunity, a multi-year community-based grant program to strengthen the birth and parenting justice movements. This grant opportunity serves to support the work of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color)-led grassroots groups doing a wide range of birth/parenting justice work with proven results. SisterSong welcomes open call applications from BIPOC-led groups/individuals working in the U.S. preferably the South or Midwest.   • The Baltimore Roundtable for Economic Democracy (BRED) is offering an “Advanced Cooperator Apprenticeship” training to two people in their local co-op network. Two apprentices will be compensated at $30 per hour for the time they spend learning. This is a part-time program, with a rough average of 12 hours per week for 6 months, June thru December, 2023. Applications are due by May 29.   • The Pleasure Project is looking for fellows for their 2023 Pleasure Fellow Scheme. This fellowship opportunity aims to provide more tools and skills for our selected fellows so that they can actively and effectively promote pleasure inclusive sexual health initiatives in their communities and around the world. Fellows will have the opportunity to be awarded up to USD 1,000 to develop a project (this could be anything from writing blog posts, developing a podcast, doing research, to interviewing their own organization about pleasure inclusion).   • Hopelab is seeking two Health Equity Fellows (a Translational Science Fellow and a Community-Based Tech Fellow) to explore opportunities related to unmet needs in the wellbeing of young people. The fellowship is 6 months and includes a $50,000 stipend. Applications are due May 26, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Black Trans Travel Fund helps cover monetary expenses for Black transgender women in need of money for ground transportation, so they can access their self-determined safest transportation options (were they feel least likely to experience verbal harassment or physical harm). This is a local bi-weekly ride sponsorship program for women in New York and New Jersey. Women can apply every two weeks (On the 1st and 15th of every month).   • Applications are now open for Grants for Artists' Progress (GAP). GAPs are unrestricted project-based grants of $1,500 for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) artists living in King County, and artists of all background outside of King County. Applications close on June 23, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Learn more and apply here.

  • Peace Studio Fellowship applications are now open. The Peace Studio Fellowship is a year-long program advancing artists and journalists in becoming effective peace-builders. This year, five artists and five journalists will be awarded a $10,000 grant to support socially transformative initiatives. Applications are due by June 9, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • Creative Wildfire launched the national open call for artists to apply for their 2023-2024 cohort. The 10-month cohort (June 2023 - March 2024) will support seven artists and storytellers to create new projects inspired by hidden histories of resistance. Artists may work in any discipline — writing, visual art, traditional arts, music, dance, theater, video/film, wearable art, etc. Artists will receive up to $7800 in funding (depending on the scope of the project they develop during the program).   • The Laundromat ProjecT (LP) is accepting applications for their Create & Connect Fund, a community micro-grant fund seeding and supporting the creative ideas and civic actions of artists, cultural practitioners, community builders, organizers, and makers in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. The LP will provide a $1,000 grant towards each funded project for a total of up to 20 proposals. The application window will close on May 4, 2023 at 11:59pm ET or until 20 proposals have been accepted. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Okra Project is accepting applications for their Black Trans Joy Fund. Learn more and apply here.

  • National Young Farmers Coalition recently launched a fellowship for BIPOC farmers in the South. The Red Clay Fellowship seeks to identify and support 6 farmer leaders already working to unite and mobilize communities in the South around issues of sustainability and racial equity. This program resources young BIPOC farmers to become experts on and advocates for local and regional policy change that serves their communities and their work. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Center for Black, Brown, and Queer Studies are now accepting applications for their  Academic Fellowship for the 2023-24 academic year. As a fellow, you’ll receive mentorship, career development advice, and writing support as you establish yourself either within an academic institution or as an independent educator and researcher. Depending on funding, fellows may be awarded a $2,000 USD research stipend. Applications submitted by May 15, 2023 (deadline extended to May 29) will receive full consideration.   • The Black Trans Fund recently opened their Community Care Grant for Black trans-led organizations in the U.S. Funding can be used for mutual aid, wellness & healing, organizing & activism, gender justice for trans and gender-expansive youth, reproductive justice, and/or arts and culture. Their 2023 grant cycle is April 4 - June 15. Learn more and apply here.

  • Grist announced their third-annual climate fiction short story contest, Imagine 2200: Climate Fiction for Future Ancestors. They’re looking for stories of 3,000 to 5,000 words that envision the next 180 years of climate progress — roughly seven generations – imagining intersectional worlds of abundance, adaptation, reform, and hope. The winning writer will be awarded $3,000, with the second- and third-place winners receiving $2,000 and $1,000, respectively. An additional nine finalists will each receive $300. Submissions close June 13, 2023, 11:59 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time. Learn more and apply here.

  • Black Farmer Fund opened their Rapid Response Fund for Black farmers and food business owners in the Northeast. This fund will offer up to $10K in support of acute emergencies to provide immediate restoration of business operations. Learn more and apply here.

  • Acorn Center for Restoration and Freedom is inviting Black Artists and Creatives (21 and over) to enjoy a special experience at their Retreat Center for their 2023 Artist Retreat. This artist weekend will be woven with virtual programming from Black Love Convergence, and special opportunities for art-making, wellness, and connection. The maximum number of spots is for 8 people.   • Healing Justice Ldn is looking for 3 Community Artists* (*no formal arts background required) for a series of commissions to be shown as part of Rehearsing Freedoms Festival in London in Autumn 2023. Applications are encouraged from people working around social justice issues ranging from policing, housing, health, access to land, environmental justice, food justice, and disability. Total Comission fee £5000: (£4,000 fee + £1,000 materials and resources budget) Deadline for applications is 11:59PM, Monday 15th May 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • The Rachel’s Network Catalyst Award provides women* environmental leaders of color with personal ($10,000) and organizational ($5,000, if applicable) grants, wraparound leadership services, and public recognition. Applications are due by May 9. Learn more and apply here. *Their definition of “women” includes people of color who may identify as non-binary, genderqueer, gender expansive, or otherwise not conforming to the gender binary.

  • Beloved Community recently opened applications for their Summer Youth Research Academy. The Summer Youth Research Academy is a 3-week online summer program for high school students (ages 14-18). Youth who are selected to participate will receive a stipend of $900 for their valuable work as summer researchers. Applications will be open April 1st to May 5th. Learn more and apply here.

  • Tides Foundation recently announced their Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Frontline Justice Fund’s Spring 2023 round of grantmaking. This grant opportunity aims to confront the climate crisis by making transformative investments in clean energy and the frontline communities most impacted by pollution and the climate crisis. Funding will support organizations that are actively engaged in (or want to actively engage in) community-based legal, legislative, and/or regulatory advocacy, to advance environmental and climate justice. The Frontline Justice Fund will grant a total of up to $3M to organizations. The deadline for proposals is Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 5pm PT / 8pm ET. Learn more and submit a proposal here.

  • Side by Side has 3 scholarships available for youth and young adults residing in Virginia. Applications and nominations are accepted until 11:59 p.m. on April 17, 2023. Learn more and apply here.

  • Ohio Women’s Alliance are now accepting applications for their Reproductive Justice (RJ) Table Fellowship. They’re seeking young Ohioans (ages 18-27) who are committed to Reproductive Justice and interested in gaining hands-on experience in campaign management, advocacy, and more. RJ Table cohort members will receive a stipend of $1,000 for their participation in the program; attendance at each monthly session is required to receive the stipend. Applications are due Wednesday, April 26, 2023.   • JQ International Inc. has a community resource manual full of LGBTQ+ Jewish affirming organizations, services, and information addressing a wide range of community needs.

  • Queer Farmer Network is a network made up of queer farmer and adjacent community members throughout the US. Join their listserv to stay in the loop about upcoming gatherings, community offerings, and connect directly with a widespread community of queer farmers.

  • Eviction Representation for All has a list of local nonprofit law firms, based in Oregon, offering free or low-cost eviction representation to low to moderate income tenants. Learn more about their programs and if you qualify here.

  • Ase Community Foundation for Black Canadians with Disabilities launched The Black Accessibility Knowledge (BLAcK) Hub, Canada's first-ever Black-centered accessibility hub web-based platform. The BLAcK Hub is designed to provide culturally-relevant and Black-focused, confidential, fully accessible, and free resources for Black people with disabilities of all ages, their families, caregivers, and support networks.

  • Black Femme Brunch has a Black Trans Women and Trans Femmes To Pay Directory for allies to fund and support trans women and trans femmes through direct financial support. For trans women and trans femmes interested in being included in their directory, submissions of trans-led businesses and/or preferred payment methods can be made here.

  • Black Trans Foundation compiles a bulk of resources to better support trans women and trans femmes, including numerous ways allies can support trans people in the UK.

  • Rainbow Railroad helps LGBTQI+ people facing violence, oppression, and lack of safety in countries outside of the U.S. and Canada with multiple support programs to fit individual needs and develop a path to safety. Requests for help can be submitted here.

  • Cecilia’s Occupational Inclusion Network (COIN) is a a free healthcare program for sex workers in an affirming, supportive environment. COIN Clinic appointments are available at all Callen-Lorde locations.

  • Mental Health and Gender-Affirming Care Resource Guide for Massachusetts LGBTQ2IA+ Young People

  • Black Trans Foundation has a list of free and low budget therapy options for BPOC and trans people in the UK

  • The Chisholm Legacy Project has a BIPOC in Environmental and Climate Justice Database and job board for BIPOC speakers, specialists, job seekers, board members, advisory members, and more. Apply to join the database here.

  • National Queer & Trans Therapists of Color Network provides a Radical Syllabus for QTpoC as a resource for QTPoC mental health practitioners in support of their practice and for the healing of the greater QTPoC community. This is a living document intended to be used as a tool for discovery, inquiry, development, healing, and liberation and can be utilized by anyone to gain awareness via peer-reviewed academic articles, fiction and non-fiction books, podcasts, documentaries and movies.

  • The Radical Communicators Network is network for social justice communicators across a variety of movements, backgrounds, levels of experience, geographies, languages, and political associations. Their network is radicalizing the field to focus on building narrative power by putting people closest to the oppression at the forefront. Join their listserv and/or Facebook Group to stay in the loop of job opportunities, events, and other movement-building opportunities and discussions related to social-change communications.

  • Trans Empowerment Project is moving the Trans community out of crisis and into empowerment by focusing on the abolition of white supremacy to ensure that our most marginalized community members, Disabled Queer and Trans People of Color, can thrive and live their best lives. They are also one of our community partners at Black Remote She. If you’d like to stay connected with their work and network within their community, join their Facebook Group and/or Discord channel.

Their trans community includes folks who are Queer, Transgender, Non-Binary, Two-Spirit, Gender Non-Conforming, and other related identities across the gender spectrum.

  • The Ohio’s Women Alliance has a new Visionary Ohio Worker (VOW) job board, which includes job opportunities at progressive organizations across Ohio that prioritize the leadership of BIPOC and other historically oppressed communities. The VOW Job board centers the fields of Reproductive Justice, health, and rights as well as social justice, relational organizing, healthcare, and other related fields. They are also one of our community members at Black Remote She.

  • Rad Ops is a professional development Facebook Group group with an explicit justice based framework and approach, with the goal of building collective movement knowledge. This group is for anyone doing operations, administration, finance, events, development, volunteer & intern coordination, and/or the often invisible behind the scenes work in progressive and radical organizations, cooperatives, volunteer groups and businesses.

  • NPOCUnicorns - People of Color Nonprofit Professionals Facebook Group is dedicated to connected people of color nonprofit professionals.

  • Work for justice in the digital age is a Facebook Group connecting people looking to find work organizing for justice in the digital age.
